April 18-20 - The Bear on the Square Mountain Festival is an incredible weekend of music and art held each spring in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains. Hollonville Opry House is located approximately 12 miles west of Griffin on Hwy 362 in Hollonville (Pike Co) GA. From Atlanta: Go I-75 south to 19/41 toward Atlanta Race Track. Continue on past Race Track to Griffin taking bypass around Griffin. You will go under (2) overpasses and then take second exit which will be Hwy 362 (Williamson Road). Go west approximately 11 or 12 miles and Hollonville Opry House will be on right just past Hollonville Baptist Church.

Every 2nd Friday Night - The Kennesaw Opry is located in the Adams Park Community Center - shows start at 7:00pm. The last show starts at 9:00pm. There is a place to jam, should you want to do that also. The fee for this event is $ 5.00, for adults, and children 12 and under are free. Jammers only are also free. There is a concession stand there also. Each Tuesday & Thursday - There is a lunchtime jam from 12 noon ? 1 pm, on south campus of the University of Georgia at the Mary Warnell Pond in front of Forestry and Ecology. This is more of an old-time music jam, rather than a bluegrass jam -- fiddle tunes, claw hammer banjos, along with the occasional flatpicking and Bluegrass songs. This is an open jam and is much fun.
