Coming Soon

August 10th - the Kennesaw Opry Bluegrass Venue will be held at the Train Depot, across from the General Train Museum. There will also be a BBQ Contest sponsored by the City of Kennesaw. This will be a free show to the public. You may bring your own chairs or use the cities'. The shows start at 6:30 with the Kennesaw Cloggers, performing at 6:30 PM. At 7:00, there will be an announcement about the winners of the BBQ contest followed by music featuring Bluegrass Sound Band, Tucker Station String Band,and Rambling Grass Band. There may also be jamming. Bring your own instrument and join in the jams. Play with the pros as well as the beginners and intermediates. Come join the fun and eat your heart out. August 18th - 7th Annual Decatur Barbeque Blues and Bluegrass Festival - Atlanta?s favorite BBQ and heritage music festival returns for another year. Featuring the Porch Bottom Boys, Well Strung, the Solstice Sisters, Old Enough to Know Better, Dappled Grays, Peachtree Station, Stonehouse Posse, Hair of the Dog, and Beverly ?Guitar? Watkins. August 18th - Fiddle Clinic in Cleveland, Ga. 1 1/2 hours north of Atlanta. Martin Norgaard world renouned violinist and fiddle player and clinician will offer a fiddle clinic from 10:30 to 3:00 on Saturday August 18th. This clinic is for beginning to intermediate fiddle players and will cover the basics of fiddle playing including playing in tune, bowing technique to help you get the best tone and speed from your playing, left hand fingering and technique. He will also have supplemental materials focusing on how to play Whiskey Before Breakfast at a very beginning level and then slightly harder. Martin will also cover how to structure practice and give you specific exercises to help you to improve your playing. Take your playing to the next level with this fun and informative learning opportunity from one of the leading instructors in the world.
